Intro to Getting Started with Accessibility

Addressing digital accessibility can be an overwhelming task, especially if you don’t know where to start. Most organizations need to make accessibility a priority, and many are aware of their obligation, but few know what steps to take first.

In this module, we will explore what steps city governments need to take to ensure accessibility is addressed comprehensively and sustainably, including building an internal culture of access, determining what work needs doing, crafting a public policy and statement on accessibility, assigning roles and upskilling staff, building a compliance plan, and setting up reporting.
